"I do protect human rights, and I hope I shall always be looked up to as a champion of human rights."Aung San Suu Kyi
Happy Friday my friends! Here is some inspiration for all of you during Lyme Disease Awareness Month! I am devastated to report I cannot attend the Mayday protest because I have nowhere to stay and cannot afford a hotel. But I will be there in spirit! So for those of you who will be in attendance I have some motivation... remember we have not lost.
"Vision gets the dreams started. Dreaming employs your God-given imagination to reinforce the vision. Both are part of something I believe is absolutely necessary to building the life of a champion, a winner, a person of high character who is consistently at the top of whatever game he or she is in".Emmitt Smith
We are gaining attention, we are gaining momentum, we are gaining a foothold. We are a part of history and nobody can take that away from us. We are in a category with people who fought racism, who fought for the women's right to vote, who fought against slavery, who fought against the persecution of Asians in this country, who fought against the persecution of indigenous people's, who fought against the persecution of same sex couples, who fought against the persecution of the Jews, who fight against Monsanto, who fight against greed, corruption, abuse, lies... who fight for our country.
We are amongst the greatest people's in the past and present and we do it all without applause, encouragement or even the expectation that we will be heard. We raise ourselves, we raise our fists into the air, we raise our voices even when they shakes. We stand up for ourselves and more importantly for all persecuted people's; for all who have been told repeatedly that they don't matter - that they have no chance of success. We rise and we lift other's in the process. We are mobilized and we are making ourselves known to the masses and the media. We are the champions, my friends and I.
It's a hell of a long fight. It's a hell of a long way to fall just to learn to get up and we do it over and over and over. We are champions, my friends and I. We don't fail - we find ways not to succeed to find the way that will! Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, raise your voice, raise your fists and fight - fight like you have everything to gain instead of nothing to lose. Fight for me, fight for you, fight for those who can't fight themselves, fight for children and adults, fight for the lonely, the hopeless, the helpless, fight for those who have died and for those who have given up. Fight for your life. You have everything to gain. You are a champion even if nobody sees you as such until you have slayed the dragon. You are already a CHAMP.
"Winning is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to lose. Nobody goes undefeated all the time. If you can pick up after a crushing defeat, and go on to win again, you are going to be a champion someday." - Wilma Rudolph
I wish you all a happy. healthy, and hopeful day my champions! Keep fighting - stand your ground and remember you have so much to be proud of already - don't let anybody take that from you! We are all here for each other - though we may be far away we are family and friends and we are CHAMPIONS! Keep you head up and never quit! Much peace to you all! Love, Audrey
