Henry Ford once said "whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right." It is a saying that still makes me want to roll my eyes (mostly because of the adolescent & teenage years during which my Dad used to tell me this, I - obviously - used to spend a lot time rolling my eyes at things people were trying to teach!). But eye rolls are now a good indicator that though something may be cliche it is no less true and being reminded of said things is good for you!
I am here today feeling refreshed and relaxing. If I think of how I felt and what my body was battling just 6 days ago it is remarkable to be in this state now, both physically and mentally. It's good to remind myself that I am "one tough lady" to quote my friend Dandre! It's true. I am an active participant in my awesomeness. I am tenacious. I am dedicated, motivated, and some days medicated - Lol! None of these is a bad thing. I have really grown these past 12 months - and have a lot to show for my hard work and healthy eating now too. As of today I have lost 27 lbs and that's healthy for this body. I am not at all focused on the scale but am happy to report this success here.

We do not need to live in fear, blindly accept the fate handed to us, or choose between fighting and fleeing. There is middle ground - you can stand and fight Lyme, pain, poor health, and the unbelievable and corrupt forces that keep us tethered to this life where we have few options to get treatment and get better.I've said it before & I say it again - I cannot fix my neurological disease or the damage done to my body from Lyme but I can heal my mind, body, and spirit.
Actively doing all 3 regularly has helped me build a life and residence I like, am proud of and that are a fair representation of my awesomeness. If you are really unhappy please think about what I am saying. After 11 years of Lyme this last year I have advanced - in all aspects of my life. It is hard work - so is being unhappy. It is at times, painful, so is disease. It can be frightening - so is fighting loneliness. It can be overwhelming - so is isolation. It can be exhausting -so is a daily life where you make poor health decisions. I hope for you to have hope. I have hope. It's pretty great to live like this and it's really tough work!

It is so hard to not be hard on yourself even when you cannot control the disease many of us know that we are, in many ways being asked to do so simply by having so many issues diagnosing, treating, paying for & recovering from all the Lymes (yes there's many type
