If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow why oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow why

oh why can't

 I?

Imagine this for a minute - you are a young women with a big heart ,and no small amount of sassy awesomeness who knows little about life off the farm in kansas. Being from Kansas I have a special place in my heart for this young lady. You may survive tornados, and lighting storms but if your entire world was turned on it's head how would you fair.

Well for many of us chronic illness, and Tick Borne diseases have done just that. After spending years staring at those 2 paths one yellow, and one red my lyme community finally came through and told me to follow the yellow brick road in a manner of speaking. On this road I have found a  healthier and more humble me. I have become an ardent advocate of Juice Plus (fruits and veggies in a capsule - just whole food nutrition!) & I apparently I am now a Lyme advocate. There are tons of us out there doing good work but when you stumble upon each other on the road to Oz you find yourself with companions you never would have imagined, and who can't be beat! I always knew my love of the Wizard of Oz would come in handy!

So my dear you have Lyme or some other chronic illness - or both? Your house has just landed far from home in a land called Oz - their are witches, and spirochetes, and strange folks abroad. Some claim to experts but don't have your best interest at heart. Some are corrupt. Many are strong, advocates, fighters, survivers and soon to be friends. Don't pre-judge! Having friends to help you on your journey is the biggest and most useful weapon in your arsenal.

Don't start whining now - that won't get you any closer to your goals. If the old ones - friends and family - are no longer around - if they have tired of the illness (as if you aren't all the more tired yourself) then let Go and Let God. We are Lyme united - we are strong warriors and we support each other. How blessed we are to have each other! We will make through toils and troubles and dangers unknown. There is strength in companionship. And just when things are at their worst we have to have faith in a higher power - Glinda the witch of the North is representative of Mother Nature, a guardian angel - whatever you want to make of her character - but the lesson is real. Sometimes you take as many steps as you can - you battle bravely but it is the wave of something bigger then you that helps save you so you can refresh, replenish and live to fight another. Truer words have never been written here.

And so with this metaphor I wish you a bright beaming hope for the future, and a happy and healthy day my friends. It's a good day for Non GMO Hot Chocolate and Judy Garland don't you think? Here's to the Land of Oz and all the companions we will meet along our journies in the coming year. May you be blessed with best of friends. Thanks you for visitng Between Health & Wealth Avenues - y'all come back now you hear? Peace, Audrey

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high There's a land that I've heard of once in a lullaby. Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue And the dreams that you dare to dream, Really do come true.

Someday I'll wish upon a star And wake up where the clouds are far behind me. Where troubles melt like lemon drops, Away above the chimney tops, That's where you'll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly Birds fly over the rainbow Why then, oh why can't I? If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow Why, oh why can't I?
